Baby and Toddler Meal Planner

All meals are homemade, using fresh produce, mostly organic and fair-trade. We
usually get what is in season from local businesses or grow some ourselves. We believe that variety is the
spice of live and it is crucial in the development of taste. We get our inspiration
from Annabel Karmel and Gina Ford, whose recipes we find original, healthy and
tasty. We often throw in a bunch of fresh herbs or a pinch of fragrant spices from all around the world. We avoid processed food, do not add salt and actively limit sugar. We do take the children’s preferences into consideration (as well as their
dietary needs) and some favourites come around more often than others.
Water is available throughout the day, especially in warm weather.

We follow the Voluntary Food and Drink Guidelines for Early Years Settings in England to help us design balanced meals, specifically adapted to under 5s. Children who eat their three main meals and snacks with us, will be offered daily 5 portions of fruit and vegetable, 4 portions of starchy food (including wholemeal and wholegrain), 3 portions of milk and dairy foods and 2 portions of non-dairy protein (meat, fish, eggs, pulses…). Most of our dishes can be easily adapted to suit young babies.
